A look through the "long lens" | |

At the age of ten I was given a Kodak Flash ll Box camera and some vintage dark-room equipment, the rest is as they say "history" I caught the "shutter bug" and have never been able to shake it off. Though captured by the "see it now" age of instant digital imaging I remain fascinated by the chemistry and mystery of the silver image and the wonderful equipment we have had to work with since photography arrived for the masses in the 1930's. All photographs are personal expressions. Whether the simple "happy snap" of the family birthday party or the carefully composed scenic taken during the once in a lifetime retirement trip to foreign lands. Each contains a reflection of the photographers persona, his or her "minds eye view" It is for this reason that photography for all its technical proficiency and skill must still rank as an art form. If like me you are fascinated both by the images themselves and the equipment used to capture them then click on the Links at the left..
