Large Format Cameras

CAMERAS PAGE

I have only recently entered the field of Large Format photography and much of it seems still to be a "black art"  There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that once you have in your hand a good print from a 4x5 negative you realise the full potential of this format.

Interestingly I have owned a Thornton Pickard 5x7 field Camera since my early teens.  Previously it had always been a curio something I was keeping locked away in a dark cupboard, kept because of its great age and interesting design.  Not any more! This same camera fitted with a new Graflok back for 4x5 format is now a integral part of my new LF experience.

The Cambo SC pictured is a recent purchase and I am still putting this system together.  When complete this camera will be equipped with the following lenses.  100mm Ziess Ikon Nettar, 127mm Rodenstock Ysarex, and a 210mm Computar Symmetrigon.

Watch my Large Format pages on this site for my humble  efforts......
